From the time players arrive at a hotel (or step onto an airplane) in the city in which we are playing until they leave the last playing site, they are in the care of SIVBC. Because of this, we, the coaches, administrators, and chaperones, take each of the following items seriously.
- Players are expected to wear approved club clothing while traveling.
- Players must have approval from their coach/chaperone prior to going anywhere other than the gym or the hotel/dorms.
- Players/coaches/chaperones are expected to be on time every time to all team functions.
- Players must ALWAYS be in a group of 3 except when permission is granted by chaperone.
- Anyone using alcohol/drugs will be taken to the airport and put on a plane home at the ATHLETE’S expense.
- Appropriate behavior is expected at all times in gyms, hotels/dorms, airports, restaurants, etc.
- No player is allowed to be alone with a male coach at any time under any circumstances.
- Boys are not allowed to be with players at any time (except to watch at the gym).
- We have adult chaperones attending travel tournaments. Their job is to adhere to guidelines established by the club, and therefore are in a position of authority.
Curfew is established on a team-by-team basis by each head coach and must be obeyed by all athletes.
