- Pedaled 3,300 miles in 1976 from Seattle to Montreal for the 1976 Summer Olympics
- Pedaled 1,000 miles of the pacific coast along Washington, Oregon, California in 1992
- Pedaled the 2,800 mile Great Divide Mountain bike trail in 1999.
- Pedaled thousands of miles in the German, French, Italian, and swiss Alps in the summer of 2003
- Competitive road and track runner
- Ran for Bellevue Community College in both track and cross country in 1979 and 1980 – both times team was NWAACC Cross Country Champion
