<p><strong><em>12 Monsoon </em></strong>showed steady improvement from their first tournament and went 2-1 in their morning pool with wins over ITVC and Lake VBC to move to the top half of flight 1.  In the afternoon crossover, Monsoon couldn&#8217;t get going and lost to Puyallup Juniors.  In the 3rd/4th place match, Monsoon rebounded by beating SSVBC Jeff 25-14 and will start the 3rd round of power league as the #3 seed in flight 1.</p>
<p><strong><em>13 Cyclone </em></strong>had an up and down day and finished 1-2 in its morning pool in flight 5.  In the crossover, Cyclone beat Ferndale 14s in 3 sets, to put them in the 5th/6th place match against Lake 13 Blue, where Cyclone came out on the short end 23-25.  Cyclone will remain in flight 5 and will start as the #6 seed for the 3rd round of power league.</p>
<p><strong><em>14 Inferno </em></strong>went 1-2 in their morning pool in flight 2 with each loss a hard fought match.  Inferno won their crossover match, but lost in the 5th/6th place match to remain in flight 2 for the 3rd round of power league.</p>
<p><em><strong>14</strong></em> <strong><em>Hurricane</em></strong>  won their morning pool in flight 1 with wins over Team Yakima 14 Gold, Puyallup Juniors 14 Gold and Cascade 14-1.  In its crossover, Hurricane beat Lake 14 Blue in 3 after struggling in set #1.  In the final, Hurricane came out flat and fell in 2 sets to Cascade to finish 2nd overall and will start the 3rd round of power league as the #2 seed in flight 1.</p>
<p><strong><em>15 Typhoon </em></strong>no report.  For the 2nd consecutive round, Typhoon is moving up a flight and will start the 3rd round of power league as the #8 seed in flight 2.</p>
<p><em><strong>16 Thunder </strong></em>went 3-0 in its moring pool in flight 2.  In its crossover match, Thunder defeated Puyallup Juniors and then won the bracket final, beating Sabotage 16s to win the flight and will start the 3rd round of power play as the #7 seed in flight 1.</p>
<p><strong><em>17 Storm </em></strong>went 1-2 in their morning pool in flight 2.  In its crossover match, Storm defeated Lake Tapps 17 Orange in 3 sets and, in the 5th/6th place match, defeated NW Juniors 18 Elite Black Adidas and will start in flight 2 as the #5 seed for the 3rd round of power league.</p>
<p><strong><em>18 Tsunami </em></strong>went 2-1 in its morning pool in flight 3.  In its crossover match, Tsunami lost to ITVC 17s (27-25, 23-25, 13-15) to keep them from moving up a flight.  In the 3rd/4th place match, Tsunami fell to Puyallup Juniors 17s.  Tsunami will remain in flight 3 as the #4 seed for the 3rd round of power league.</p>

<h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">Next Up &#8212; Las Vegas Invitational &amp;<br />
Presidents&#8217; Day Tournament</span></h1>
<p>SIVBC&#8217;s 17s and 18s will be heading to Las Vegas later this week to compete in one of the nation&#8217;s most prestigious early season showcase tournaments for high school juniors and seniors from Saturday, February 18th, through Monday, February 20th.  This tournament typically attracts over 200 college coaches who flock to Las Vegas over the holiday weekend to recruit the next generation of college players.</p>
<p><strong><em>17 Storm</em></strong>  will be playing in the 17 Open Division and will start as seed #65 and will play Tustin 17 Mark from the Southern California region, Texas Advantage 17 Blue from the North Texas region, and 915 United 17 National from the Sun Country region.  Storm will start in the PM wave at the Cashman Field Center.</p>
<p><strong><em>18 Tsunami </em></strong>will be playing in the 18 Open Division and will start as seed #106 and will play Vision 18 Gold from the Northern California region, Los Angeles VBA South 18 Nabil from the Southern California region, and Portland 18 Black from the Columbia Empire region.  Tsunami will start in the AM wave at the Cashman Field Center.</p>

<p><strong><em>16 Thunder, 15 Typhoon, 14 Hurricane, 14 Inferno, 13 Cyclone, and 12 Monsoon </em></strong>will all be staying closer to home to participate in one of the strongest regional tournaments in the NW Juniors Presidents&#8217; Day Tournament at various locations around the greater Seattle area.</p>
