About Sudden Impact

Sudden Impact Volleyball Club (SIVBC) was founded in 1996 by Greg Brown to provide an opportunity for student athletes to develop their skill level through participation in a competitive volleyball environment. The 2009 season marks our 13th season. Our primary goal of "continuous improvement" keeps our staff reaching towards a higher level of achievement each year. Come join us!

Mission Statement

The mission of our club is to provide the following:

  • To develop amateur athletes for national competition in the sport of volleyball;
  • A positive atmosphere where parents, players, and coaches are able to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the sport of volleyball;
  • An environment where student athletes are encouraged to learn new skills and taught how to achieve team as well as individual goals;
  • An environment where coaches, parents, and players strive to act in a manner that  respects themselves, their families, their coaches, their teammates, and the club;
  • An environment where student athletes prepare themselves to succeed as volleyball players at the advanced club and collegiate levels.

Why Sudden Impact?

Are you a serious volleyball player looking to train with other like-minded players and coaches? Are you willing to outwork your opponents? If the answer is "YES!" to these questions, then here is why you should consider playing for SIVBC...

Our 2009 Commitment to Excellence
  • All our coaches will again this year be exclusively trained under the guidance of the GoldMedalSquared staff in January;
  • Our U14's-U18's teams will be practicing 3 times per week from January to March as they prepare for competition at USA Volleyball's National Qualifiers;
Our Coaching Philosophy

We currently employ the Gold Medal Squared coaching philosophy and methodology, the same methodology used by the 2004 & 2006 Final Four and 2005 National Championship UW Huskies. We have applied these skills and coaching techniques among all our age groups over the past 5 years to fortify a strong consistent framework for all our athletes to improve their skills as volleyball players. Through this system, we continue to develop a winning club program and great female athletes. Whether your daughter is 12 or 18, she will be taught the same principles of volleyball in a positive way that will develop her into a better volleyball player. All of our coaches are well-versed in the methodology, with all of our head coaches having attended at least one GoldMedalSquared coaching clinic themselves and have attended our 2007 and 2008 private trainings put on by GoldMedalSquared staff.

Sudden Impact VBC is Gold Medal Squared Certified!

"We are proud that Sudden Impact has chosen to implement the Gold Medal Squared methodology throughout their programs, and we are continually impressed in the commitment they show to the development of their staff, the instruction of their athletes, and in the overall quality of their organization. We enthusiastically endorse Sudden Impact as part of the GMS family and are pleased to be a part of their player and coach advancement."
